A few of my favorites in the vast
and complex world of e-Shakespeare.
The
Folger Library
The hub of Shakespeare Studies
in North America, the Folger Shakespeare Library
in Washington, DC (located behind the Supreme Court)
is one of my favorite places. The website provides
access to the online catalog (HAMNET) and to selected
electronic resources.
The
British Library
The greatest library in the world,
located in London, also has an excellent web presence,
including online access to Shakespeare’s plays in
Quarto.
The
Shakespeare Association of America
The largest association of Shakespeare
scholars in the United States hosts an annual (graduate-student
friendly) conference each spring.
The
Renaissance Society of America
Another
scholarly association, the RSA is broader-based than
the SAA, and includes historians, classicists, musicologists,
etc.
